Blown Away Brass Band is here to bring their tight, original arrangements to the streets of the Crescent City alongside the classic New Orleans songbook. Comprised of 7 musicians who met as students at Loyola University and through playing many second-line gigs around the city, the band is well versed in the music of the city, and also performs original arrangements by Sousaphone player Avery Bell. HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN YOUR BAND?
We can be very flexible with the size of our band. we've been hired to play with anywhere from 3 to 10 people, and everything in between!
CAN YOU HELP WITH GETTING PARADE PERMITS AND POLICE ESCORTS?
Yes we can! We're frequently asked to handle getting the parade permit from city hall (Including planning the route) and book the police escort, which we gladly do for a $60 processing fee.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENT?
We can work with whatever payment method works best for you! We'll happily accept cash on the day of the gig, but we can also provide you with a contract ahead of time and do a deposit through Paypal, or you can book us securely and prepay through Gigsalad, a third party booking service.
CAN YOU TRAVEL?
We're willing to consider gigs anywhere within a 1-hour driving range of New Orleans. We regularly play gigs in Baton Rouge.
